日本の中心、東京２３区のど真ん中である中央区の、あらゆる霊的な必要に仕えます。私たちの教会開拓が地域の喜びとなるように、最大努力します。そのうえで、銀座・築地・晴海地区のビジネスパーソン、月島・勝どき地区の若いファミリー層に福音を伝えます。特にビジネスパーソンが福音に生き、仕事を通して神の国を実現できるようサポートします。そのために、国の内外から、牧会経験のある働き人を広く求めます。目指すはチーム宣教、多民族宣教、幅広い年齢層への宣教です。そして創造主なる神を礼拝するための拠点として、福音自由教会を建て上げます。
これは我々の長期的な展望であり、今東京センターチャーチ (TCC) が始動したばかりの、マンパワーなどあらゆる資源に限りのある段階においては、次の２つの方向性に注力する方針です。
ビジネスパーソンにむけて
日本は同調圧力の強い社会であり、自分がクリスチャンであることを証し（カミングアウト）すること自体に勇気が求められます。しかしそれを公にし、職場においても神を神とする時、その人は初めて自分のポジション、収入、他人の評価という偶像から解放されて自由になります。サンデークリスチャンは無力です。が、ウイークデーをも主に明け渡し、主と共に歩むなら、その力は職場を変え、家庭を変え、日本を変え、世界を変えます。その福音の発信源となることが、我々東京センターチャーチ (TCC) のビジョンです。
都市のニューファミリーにむけて
クリスチャンビジネスパーソンは、家に帰ればクリスチャンペアレントです。彼らが、聖日のみならずウイークデーもキリスト共にあるなら、その「本気度」は家族に伝わります。「職場ミニストリー」イコール「ファミリーミニストリー」と私たちが考える理由がここにあります。言葉を用いずとも、背中がキリストを語る……そんなパパとママを目指し、真の福音に生きる幸せファミリーを目指そうではありませんか。
We serve every spiritual need in Chuo Ward, located right in the heart of Tokyo’s 23 wards, the center of Japan. We will make every effort to ensure our church planting becomes a joy to the community. Furthermore, we will share the gospel with business professionals in the Ginza, Tsukiji, and Harumi districts, and with young families in the Tsukishima and Kachidoki districts. We will especially support business professionals in living out the gospel and realizing God’s kingdom through their work. To this end, we will actively seek workers with pastoral experience from both within and outside Japan. Our vision is team-based missions, multi-ethnic missions, and missions to a wide age range. We will build Evangelical Free Church as a base for worshipping God the Creator.
This is our long-term vision. At this stage, where Tokyo Center Church (TCC) has just begun and resources like manpower are limited, we will focus on the following two directions.
For Business Professionals
Japan is a society with strong peer pressure, and simply testifying that one is a Christian (going public) requires courage. However, when one publicly declares this and acknowledges God as God even in the workplace, that person is finally freed from the idols of their position, income, and others’ evaluations. Sunday Christians are powerless. But if they surrender their weekdays to the Lord and walk with Him, that power will transform their workplace, their family, Japan, and the world. Becoming a source of that gospel is the vision of us at Tokyo Center Church (TCC).
For New Families in the City
Christian businesspeople become Christian parents when they return home. If they walk with Christ not only on the Sabbath but also on weekdays, their “genuine commitment” will resonate with their families. This is why we believe “Workplace Ministry” equals “Family Ministry.” Without words, their backs speak of Christ… Let us aim to be such dads and moms, and strive to be happy families living in the true gospel.
